IEEE/RSJ International Conference
on Intelligent Robots and Systems
19 – 25 October, 2025
Hangzhou, CHINA
The IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) 2025 in Hangzhou, China, is excited to introduce the inaugural IROS EXPO. We invite researchers, engineers, and artists to submit proposals for live, interactive demonstrations of their latest innovations in robotics, automation, and intelligent systems.
The IROS EXPO offers a unique platform to showcase your work to a diverse international audience, connect with the robotics community, and engage directly with leading experts from academia and industry.
Inclusive Platform: The IROS Expo welcomes innovations from all areas of robotics and automation.
Demo Spaces: Each demo station includes a monitor, table, chairs, power access, and a poster board- all you need to showcase your work and connect with the robotics community.
Best Demo Award: To celebrate creativity and impact, a Best Demo Award will be presented to the most outstanding demonstration.
Broad Exposure: The EXPO will be located in a spacious, high-traffic area connecting the main exhibition hall and competition zone at the Hangzhou International Expo Center (HIEC).
All researchers and innovators are encouraged to submit a proposal to present their robotic systems at IROS EXPO. Submissions must be made electronically through PaperPlaza.
Your submission must include two parts:
1. A single PDF file (maximum 20 pages)
2. A short video showcasing your demonstration
The PDF proposal does not have a strict format but it must include the following details:
• Author names and affiliations
• An abstract summarizing the demonstration
• A detailed description of the demo, including images of the setup
• Physical details, including robot size and the space required (Small, Medium, or Large)
• The Paper ID if the demo is associated with a paper submitted to IROS 2025
• Any special technical or logistical requirements (e.g., specific power needs, space arrangement, etc.)
• A request and brief justification for any travel support needed (if applicable)
A full registration (Standard or Advanced) for IROS 2025 is required for each demo presenter. To participate in the EXPO, they will need to pay an additional $300 fee (an "EXPO ticket"). This fee is flat (no discounts for students/members).
Important Note
Demo submissions will be peer-reviewed by a selection committee. Accepted demos will not be included in the official IROS Conference Proceedings or published in IEEE Xplore.
